See insider and politician trades as soon as they're filed.
SEC Watch reads official US filings and alerts your phone within about a minute when a company insider or senior politician you follow discloses a trade.
Free during the beta. We'll email you when there's a place, and use your address for nothing else.
Example alerts. The names are invented.
How it works
No software to install: SEC Watch runs in your browser, and alerts arrive through the free ntfy app.
Choose what to follow
Add companies by ticker, and members of the House, the President, the Vice President and cabinet officials by name or committee.
SEC Watch reads every filing
It checks the SEC every 20 seconds and the government disclosure sites through the day, reading each filing itself rather than a summary of it.
Your phone gets the ones that matter
Real open-market buys and the trades you care about, above the sizes you set. Everything else stays on your dashboard.
Built to tell a signal from paperwork
Most insider filings aren't decisions to buy or sell. SEC Watch sorts them so your phone only buzzes for the ones that are.
Real buys, not share awards
Only open-market purchases count as buys. Grants, option exercises and tax withholding are labelled on the dashboard, and sales scheduled months ahead under 10b5-1 plans can be muted.
Politicians, including the scanned reports
House members' trade reports and the executive branch's, including the President's scanned filings, which SEC Watch reads line by line, telling you how much of each it could read.
Who sits on which committee
Each member's committee seats and roles appear beside their trades and in the alerts.
How their picks have done
An estimate of how each politician's purchases have moved since the trade, next to the S&P 500 over the same dates, clearly labelled as an estimate.
Nothing missed while you're away
If you're offline or SEC Watch restarts, one catch-up message lists what you missed instead of a flood.
Ideas for who to follow
The Track finder shows the most active politicians, the companies they're buying most, and the largest recent purchases.
Straight from the source
Every alert links to the original filing, so you can always check it yourself.

Good to know
Politicians report late
Officials have up to 45 days to disclose a trade, and give amounts as ranges. SEC Watch alerts you when the report appears, and shows how long it took.
No senators yet
The Senate's disclosure site blocks automated access, and SEC Watch doesn't try to get around that.
Not financial advice
SEC Watch shows what's been disclosed. Filings can be amended or contain mistakes, and what you do with them is your call.
